The ability to make us laugh in many occasions has deluded many people who have tried to do so. It is not as easy as some people think. On the other hand, it is no nuclear science either. If you are born with the inherent ability to produce laughter out of people at a regular rate, you should thank your creator. However, if you sound like a stale song every time you open your mouth and cause people to yawn, you need help, and plenty of it. That's the reason I am writing this. You can say I am doing this for the sake of humanity, and you won't be wrong. Humanity is in danger of dying of boredom because there are fewer and fewer comedians amongst us.
People need to laugh more to be able to cope with the pressures of life. Only recently, I heard that there is a new form of therapy known as "laughter therapy." I almost laughed out of my chair when I saw people laughing about nothing. I applauded the initiative and the thought behind it. The creative mind behind this therapy had realized the health benefits of laughter. We need more of such people because the world has been having less funny people of late. Only warmongers have been thriving and war is become a real threat. At this rate, we are going to destroy each other. I want to be the first person to start making people laugh again and I need more people to join me in making the world a laughing place.
I am speaking from experience. Years ago before I learnt the art and value of making fun, I was empty inside. Then my uncle told me something important. He said that Laughter makes the world go round. I thought I heard him wrong. Perhaps he meant Love makes the world go round. Today I couldn't agree with him more. Love without laughter is dead. Then he taught me how to be funny, and I can't help it but pass it on. You see, laughter is contagious.
You can also be funny if you take things easy. Nothing in life is permanent and much of the stress we have today is enhanced by our inability to laugh at the experiences we have in life. If you take it easy, it will soon rub off on other people close to you. You will seem funny even before you open your mouth. Without uttering a word, you can be funny by the actions you perform, your facial expressions or the aura of funny that you portray.
Listening to funny people can also have a funny effect on you. You will learn the way they use words for their own benefit and how change in tone of voice can make a dry joke become as wet as a sponge. Reading funny stories can also teach you a thing or two about making jokes.
