It seems to me that every day we see another small business pop up from the murk and establish itself amongst the rank and file of the army of funny t-shirts businesses that are simply everywhere these days. There are some promising new talents and also weathered, amazing veterans...but there really is no way to tell who is best, who is most innovative, and who offers the best product. It makes buying funny t-shirts kind of difficult, wouldn't you agree? That's why I am here to help...and to host the First Annual Funny T-Shirts Awards! Without further adieu, let's take a look at this year's winning websites!
The reason I picked Threadless.com as the winner for best artistic funny t-shirts is because there simply is no one else in their league stylistically. The way they keep the artistic bar so high is that they allow anyone calling themselves an artist to design shirts for them. The artists get a cut of the proceeds, and everyone wins in the end. While not all of their shirts are funny, there are a great many that are. There are also plenty of t-shirts that don't make the grade, but those get phased out fairly quickly.
The winner of the most offensive funny t-shirts site is...FoulMouthShirts.com! These guys must have been beaten by an alcoholic parent for half their lives, because they have some serious emotional issues. They say that they release so much terrible, evil-spirited content because they promote Freedom of Speech in its purest form. Nothing is off limits with these degenerates. Most of their work may be completely socially unacceptable, but the majority of it is still really, really funny.
The next category up for grabs is for Alternative Comedy T-Shirts. This is a difficult category because alternative humor is so slippery and difficult to define. What makes an alternative shirt? Well, the funny t-shirts have to be super current and off-beat, for sure. They also have to play perfectly off of pop culture in a way that makes you realize how un important it is. Snorgtees.com does all of these things and more, meaning they deserve this award far more than anyone else can.
