Aloe Vera For Sunburn With Several Natural Tips

We all love the warm weather and sunshine. But when we get a little too much of fun in the sun without proper sun protection we end up with painful sometimes blistering sunburns. Aloe vera for sunburn works perfectly to soothe the stinging pain from this as well has help the skin affected to heal better possibly without blisters appearing.

A common mistake many people make when it comes to being burned by the sun is to put lotions or some types of ointments on the affected areas right away. This will make the pain and blistering worse as the heat will be trapped within your skin and locked there.

Wait for the skin affected to cool down first before applying these. Here are some tips to get it feeling better. You may take pain medication or aspirin for the first 48 - 72 hours to help you rest better. Aloe gel or juice works the best for sunburn but there are other options to consider as well.
Applying a thin paste made from baking soda and water is an older home type treatment for this as well. Just rub all over for cooling effect. Vitamin E oil spray or the actual capsules can work in just about the same way as aloe. The spray oil is much simpler to use and actually apply all over to the affected areas that are sunburned.

Many people who use natural dried herbs in their home healing practices use a concoction of peppermint leaves, lavender leaves and calendula petals all dried to make a tea just for soothing sunburned skin and to promote cooling down of the affected areas and faster healing. This is applied with a thin cloth very moist from being soaked in tea and then put on skin.

Even oatmeal which almost everybody has at home can be used for cooling and soothing skin relief from this. You do not actually cook the oatmeal but merely soak it in hot water and then let it cool completely before applying wherever it is needed and leaving on for at least 30 minutes.

For less severe burns you can slice up some chilled cold cucumbers and place on the skin, this works as a cooling agent and will make your skin feel better pretty quick.
