Do You Know That To Become Witty Is To Be Yourself?

I still think that the best treatment invented is laughter. My boss asked me during my job interview, "Can you tell me the initial thing you usually do before you leave for work?" My reply was, "I laugh." Funny, but true! I am a nurse managing different patients with different behaviors. So, before I set off for work, I stare at the mirror and I laugh. You know, being a nurse needs lengthy patience and preparedness. This is to do my job accurately and correctly. Without my humor, I could not stand to see people suffering from different types of physical, mental, emotional and physiological pain.

Laughing is an act to be happy. Whenever I feel blue and sad, I need a good laugh at myself to release all those stresses and pressures. This is how I begin my day. I look at the mirror, put a smile at myself, and believe it or not, I feel light and happy. Try doing this thing for yourself and you will see what I mean. Laughing at yourself in front of a mirror is not stupidity, but is it a way of being free. Free from all worries and anxieties that life is giving you. Laughing enables a person to relax and increases his self-confidence.


One of my patients was admitted in the intensive Care Unit because she lost her appetite and she was losing weight fast. So, the doctor inserted a tube via her nose down to her stomach. This is where the food will pass through. As I approached her, I asked her, "Why are you not eating?" She told me that, she has no craving for food anymore. I told her that the best things to do in life are to eat and sleep. She smiled at me. As I continued talking to her, I advised her that the next time she will be asked by her children what type of food she wants, she will tell them she wants two hamburgers. Why two? Well, I told her, "One is for you, and the other one is for me." The next day, there were two hamburgers and we ate the burgers toge

If we take life so seriously, then we might feel miserable all the time. So, why not laugh at life and be happy? Everybody needs a good laugh from time to time. It does not matter how hard you are living your life, if you know how to smile and laugh at people, you will feel that there is still hope to live a happy and fulfilling life. If you see people happy, it tends to make you feel light and everything will be fine.


You do not have to take a course in comedy to create laughter along with other people. Believing in yourself that you are able to make them laugh is enough to make them laugh. Laughter is similar to a viral infection that infects people. If you see someone laughing, then you will laugh along. Keep in mind that if you are happy, the result will be a satisfying and fulfilling life.
