Curious About Products Like Neogenis Labs' Neo40 Aimed At Users Over 40?

By Lucy Cho

The need for Nitric Oxide booster products like Neogenis Labs' Neo40 Daily may be argued either way. Americans over 40 are sent the message steadily that they need many products to maintain or improve their health as they get older, and the advertising behind Neogenis Labs' product is not so different. They claim that Neo40 can be an important way to improve some things such as cardiovascular health. We'll further discuss the claims for products like Nitric Oxide supplements, and whether people over 40 years old really do need their help.

So this pursuit raises some questions about what Neogenis or other nitric oxide supplements can be used for. What are the claims that have been made about the benefits for use of these products? And what proof has been demonstrated to show that they do what companies claim they do?

Nitric oxide supplements are used for the basic goal of increasing Nitric Oxide production in the body. Nitric Oxide isn't actually an ingredient of most of these products, but is rather the desired final product of their utilization. Increasing Nitric Oxide in the body may be able to help with a variety healthcare treatments. Products for increasing Nitric Oxide are also commonly sold to athletes and bodybuilders to apparently assist them with workouts. A Nitric Oxide booster could potentially be used to decrease the recovery time between workouts and thereby increase the number of times muscle groups can be worked within a healthy period of time. The various users of Nitric Oxide supplements are told there are many differing benefits from use, so what are some of those claimed benefits?

Neogenis Labs claims that use of their product, Neo40 Daily, can help reduce blood pressure, inflammation, and triglycerides. Other claims include better sexual function, energy level, and workout endurance. They claim their formula assists the body in naturally increasing Nitric Oxide levels which can in turn help improve circulation, support the cardiovascular system, and would be particularly helpful for people over the age of 40. They further suggest that Neo40 can reduce levels of C-reactive protein which, when high, can lead to stroke or heart attacks. The claims are many, but what about the evidence that they're true?

Neogenis Labs does at least have some scientific research which appears to provide evidence for the things they claim their product can do. They say that through seven years of research, an expert in Nitric Oxide uses from the University of Texas developed their product, Neo40. They conducted both pre-clinical and early clinical trials that showed reduction in inflammation and triglycerides (which includes the C-reactive protein levels mentioned before.) Their claims about people over the age of 40 needing help with Nitric Oxide production relate to an American Heart Association study that suggested that Americans over 40 do not produce enough Nitric Oxide. Otherwise they tend to generally site various studies conducted over the years to back up their claims.

Whether Neogenis Labs' claims about its Nitric Oxide booster product, Neo40 Daily, are 100% accurate I cannot determine, but they do seem to have at least some evidence of a few of their claims regarding the need for people 40 and up to increase Nitric Oxide production.
