There are many stories of young people making it in life in amazing ways. One such story in the music industry is one of DJ Icue. His unique blend of music has propelled him to the top. Ever since he set out to do music he has dominated the party scene with his own style of music and mixing skills especially in the South part of America.
He was born in New York. From an early age he had a passion for music. His dream was to make music that was unique and out of this world. When he moved from New York to Miami in 1995 he started his career in music. By this time he was only 14 years. By the time he was 16 years he was already known in clubs such Marlin Hotel, Cream and Zen Bar. When he was 17 he had already began making his own beats.
His influence to produce music can be attributed to his life in New York as a child. He grew up at a time when both Punk and hip hop genres of music were coming up. His creativity inspired him to mix these genres to create his unique type of music.
After doing gigs in famous joints like the Purdy lounge he felt he still needed to take his career further. He got his own recording label under the famous New Breed records. He then began making his unique style of music and remixes. He is also talented in playing drums. His mixes are composed mainly of bass and heavy drums. He called this unique music style hip step.
