She is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about her Polynesian heritage and accepts the offer with little hesitation.
Unfortunately for Aimee, her time on the island is not going to be all hugs and happy reunions. The cousin she never knew existed is not at all pleased to have her there and is planning to kill her so that he remains the sole heir to the Kulana riches. This is Alon and he is filled with jealousy and centuries of determination which makes him a very dangerous foe.
Polihanu, the most compassionate of the four sisters known as the Fire Goddesses feels a bond with Aimee and orders her servant, Kiyoto do do what is necessary to keep the young woman safe from Alon and the others who wish her dead.
