How many times have you heard people being invited to try their hand at some form of art, only to reply that they have no artistic ability whatsoever. Fear not, everyone can try the following abstract watercolor painting. It is very easy to try, and you have the satisfaction of producing your very own art. It is not expensive, and all of the necessary items can be found in your local arts shop.
An easy one to try requires just a few items and a little time. You will need some watercolor paper, a board to fix it to, and some tape to fix the paper to the board. Also a brush, a paint set and some rubber cement. To avoid damaging the paper when you remove the tape, place the length of tape initially on your trouser leg. Quickly remove it, this will pick up very tiny fibers. This prevents the tape being overly sticky, making it easier to remove but it will still hold the paper firmly in place.

When the paint has dried more cement solution can be applied. Again this has to be dried before repainting can take place. This whole process may be carried out as many times as you wish until you are satisfied.

Once the cement has been totally removed you start to see the pattern emerging. Some people will opt to use a pen to outline these shapes, whereas others prefer to leave it as it is.
The securing tape can also be removed now. If you followed the tip given earlier it should peel off easily and the paper shouldn't rip. Another thing you will notice is that you also have a nice clean border all of the way around your finished piece of art.
