Surrounded in wonderful wilderness is a lovely little town called Rose City. It is in the county of Ogemaw, which is in northwestern Michigan. This place offers multiple places to shop, which include a variety of items. There is also glorious nature to view, no matter where you look.
While this town was founded by Allen S. Rose in 1875 it was not incorporated until 1905. Originally it was known as Churchill but eventually it was renamed after Allen Rose. Ultimately a railroad started to go through the town, which helped with its incorporation. Allen Rose was originally from New York City but he traveled to Michigan and decided to stay.
There is a population of around 653 people, with the average age being 44.6 years of age. The main income of the town is from the small businesses as well as manufacturing. The main supporting factories are plastics, auto parts and machinery.
Located less than three miles from here is a natural recreation Area. This area has many fantastic opportunities for adventure. You can do many things like boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, canoeing and cross-country skiing. This Recreation Area consists of 4,449 acres of wilderness. Sadly this area used to be nonpublic, but luckily the opportunity to make it public was seized and in 1963 the opportunity for all to enjoy it came true.
Would you love to feel the wind through your hair and the sun kissing your skin, while floating down the river in a boat or canoe? You could be calmly enjoying your free time, no work to worry about. This would be the perfect time to become one with nature.
There is also a great 70 acre lake. You can rent paddle boats so you can relax and enjoy the water. Say you are not one for nature? Then take a small 30 minute drive and go visit some local malls. If you do not feel like making the drive, then do not forget to check out the local shops in the city.
There are quite a few vehicle repair shops in the vicinity. They fix everything from paint, collision and general repairs. If you are looking for something different to drive, there is a variety of different dealerships that sell new and used vehicles. So you can go on vacation worry free, if on the off chance something happens to your vehicle, you have many options to get it repaired.
This city offers a bundle of different food choices. They have common restaurants that everyone knows, but what makes this area special is they have a lot of independent restaurants.
