You will only need a little amount of tape since you will only use it to secure the strands on the clipboard.
Cut the floss into 3 foot long. Then, line them up and tie a knot about 4 inches on the ends. Place it into the clipboard to secure it. To do so, you may use a tape. Then you can separate each of them.
Now you are ready to do the actual labor. Start by doing basic diagonal stripes. Take the very first strand and put it on top of the next one. Get the second and hold it tight using your hand and make it the base strand. Loop it around with the the knot that you have made with the first strand of floss. Next thing you need to do is pull it to the other direction to create a knot. Then just keep going with this step.
You must continue doing it until you will be able to do more strands. After that, loop it all again around the next base and start another tie. Just keep repeating it so you can make the next layer.
