Reasons to get a greenhouse

Small, standing greenhouses are an ideal place to start seedlings in a small garden. Large greenhouses are great if you have the room, allowing you to grow a wider range of plants. If you have outdoor space, you could get a greenhouse of some description.

If you have tender plants, you can overwinter them in the greenhouse to prevent frost damage. A greenhouse extends the growing season. If you want to grow certain warm weather plants, it can help to start them off under glass so that they can be full-size during the summer months.
Tomatoes are very popular greenhouse plants as the higher temperatures helps the fruit ripen. Chilli plants are increasingly popular greenhouse plants as there is a danger you will get few fruit if you choose to grow them outside. Greenhouses allow you to grow a wider range of plants, particularly fruit that requires a warmer climate than we get here in the UK.
