Who Am I? An Inspiring Poem

By Valentino Crawford

As I'm continuing my journey of self-mastery and developing my understanding of personal development, I came across an inspiring poem. It actually makes you think...

Who Am I Author Unknown

"You may know me...I'm your constant companion. I'm your greatest helper. I'm your heaviest burden. I'll push you onward...or drag you down to failure.

I am at your command if you choose to use me. Half the tasks you do...can be turned over to me. I'm able to do them quickly and I'm able to do them the same every time.

I'm easily managed-all you have to do is be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want it done. After a few lessons, I'll do it automatically.

I am the servant of all great men and women. And of course, the servant of all the failures as well. I've made all the great individuals who have ever been great, And all the losers, too.
I work with the precision of a computer and the intelligence of a human being. You may run me for profit, or you may run me to ruin... It makes no difference to me.

Take me. Be easy with me and I will destroy you. Be firm with me and I'll put the world at your feet.

Who am I?

I am your Habit."

I am Your Habit

Wow! Now that poem genuinely resonated with me! I found the poem within a book I'm at present reading referred to as "The Power of Coaching," by Machen MacDonald.

It truly created me consider all of the stories I've heard along with the books I've read about effective individuals. Even the successful folks I know personally have this one thing in common...they have effective habits! They do issues on a consistent basis that get outcomes.

On the flip-side, people who have not had the outcomes they desired probably have NOT formed successful habits. They could even have habits that hinder them...and they have to be broken.

As I look at myself, I'm becoming more conscious of the habits I have formed which got me outcomes. And because they were habits, I could or may possibly not have already been aware of them unless they were brought to my attention.

For instance, do you truly spend focus to every time you breathe? Almost certainly not, since it is natural...you do it without having considering it. You do it each of the time! So what do you do all of the time that gets you the outcomes you desire? What productive habits have you formed?

And if you are not getting the results you want, you must ask yourself...what are you NOT undertaking?

In case you are not confident what habits are keeping you from your objectives, spend attention to an individual who currently has what you desire. Observe and study them. If you can, ASK them what habits did they form to get the results they wanted?

A single thing I learned from this inspiring poem is the fact t
