Improving Water Ways With The Cured In Place Pipe

By Muriel Noel

The overall quality and standard of drinking and bathing water has recently become a potential health hazard as more residents are finding changes such as bad tastes, discoloration and foul odors. The cured in place pipe otherwise referred to as CIPP has received increased attention regarding its successful implementation in Europe. With the process for the cured in place pipe MN residents will have access to cleaner water and sewerage systems.

Although the projects may take up to a day to complete, it provides many advantages for communities. The technology has been designed to provide a cost effective option for improving the condition of systems without having to dig up surface areas. Outdated sewerage systems may benefit greatly from such innovation in meeting universal standards.

The process includes identifying sewer repairs and replacements to prevent cracks, blockages and extensive reparation down the line. CIPP involves the placement of a special resin saturated lining in the sewers. When air or water is forced within the tubes, the lining turns inside out and fixes itself to the walls as it is reinforced by the resin.

The resin will go through a curing process in which all holes and possible cracks are filled from the inside. Tree roots and other obstructions will not be able to penetrate the systems once it has been coated. The advantage of such process involves quicker procedure and cost effectiveness.

This form of technology may be highly beneficial and is certainly more cost effective providing a durable seal without loss in diameter. A smoother interior may be expected allowing water to flow more freely. This type of technology lasts for up to 50 years.

The city responsible for the installation of the lining will clear the pipes of debris and possible root invasion. There are many benefits for areas having the CIPP installed. With cured in place pipe MN residents may achieve cleaner water and improved sewerage systems.
