Life on this planet gets harder every day, with stress, poisons in the air, toxins in the water we drink and the foods we eat, along with the ordinary pressures of life. These can all have extremely harmful effect on our bodies so every couple of months or so it's good to rejuvenate and cleanse your system. You might not think your body is that unhealthy from inhaling car exhaust or other contaminants but it can build up as time passes and sooner or later the effects start to be felt.

As a result, you should run a detox for your body if you would like to regain your health--both mental and physical--and go on having healthy relationships with the people in your life. Our body has an incredible ability to heal itself, and has its own detoxification system, but with way too many pollutants in the body, it can use some help. When your bodily tissues get overly stressed, they generally tend to malfunction which can cause a variety of problems and have a detrimental effect on the cleansing process. To help cleanse your body, you can do a 5-day cleanse that doesn't merely renew your body, it invigorates the spiritual part of your life also.

The 5-day detox plan comes with a detoxification diet, in which certain foods are avoided altogether, and consists of many fruits and green, leafy vegetables. In a cleanse diet, it's vital that you totally get rid of all of the additives, preservatives, oils and fats from your diet. As they are not easy to digest, you have to avoid meat during these days also--or at least a couple of them. Beans, beets, broccoli, garlic and nuts are all fantastic for this kind of diet. Apart from drinking water, which is a universal solvent, the only beverage you have to be drinking is grapefruit juice. Water is one of the key factors in any detox diet because it removes all of the toxins out of your body through your sweat and excrement.

You consume less food on a cleansing diet, but you are not going to starve. Since the only foods you'll consume are healthy foods that are good for your gastrointestinal system, you'll have more stamina than you did previously. If you aren't certain about the cleansing procedure, you might want to speak with a nutritionist or a professional to find out which one will be best for your body. As the toxins get removed from your body, you'll feel worse but if you carry on you'll get lots of new energy and even better alertness both mentally and physically. We all know just how vital it is to be clean outside but nobody thinks about what works best for being clean inside.

You know yourself how well you are feeling, and if you feel run down in the least, you need to think about a detox program. When you live in an environment that has lots of pollution, it's impossible to keep the toxic substances out of your body.
