That time is pretty much upon us yet again. Oscar time. It seems that no sooner are we criticising or appreciating the garments donned at the awards ritual, they're packed up away or delivered to the kind makers who have so thoughtfully loaned these to the optimistic recipients of the awards. The red carpet, home to the feet of countless celebs through the years, is rolled out yet again and the entire world waits with bated breath to find out what pleasures are in store this coming year.
Remember Bjork's well known swan dress in 2001? This was seen as one of the leading faux pas of all. Not even close to looking beautiful in the white-colored design, adding an egg handbag made it look an even greater error. Then there's Gwyneth Paltrow's booboo (forgive the word play here!). Very unattractive and VERY see-through! Somebody should've shared with her that she absolutely required a bra with this dress. Cher, in 1988 almost put on a gown! The fact is she virtually wore just her underwear! The black coloured see through was extremely daring, even for her.
One wonders what this current year could have in store. The newspapers and mags are set to give someone difficulty over their choice of attire.
The first thing you can be sure of, tends to be that you will see loads of jewellery. Celebrities will likely be dripping in gems, loaned to them from the leading jewellers with guards on stand by at every turn. There'll be an incredible number of pounds worth of diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds on necks, wrists and hands all over the place. As the international media would be there taking photos of each one of these it's a remarkable form of advertising. It is no surprise the Oscar nominees are competing for the greatest gems.
There are many pieces of diamond jewelry available now that look exactly like the real thing. Consider the Shamballa bracelet that everybody who is anybody is wearing. A good looking item of jewellery that on the untrained eyes, appears to be just about every bit as delightful as the genuine article, but with no risk aspect. They are available in a lot of colours from metallic to black with a full assortment in between. Get these with bright disco balls or just plain hemetite beads. Guys can put them on in addition to women and one size fits all, because the flexible system that tightens them. An incredible, lovely little bit of fashion jewellery and therefore the wonderful surprise for Valentine's day, a personal gift or anniversary, or possibly a trip to the Academy Awards. The inexperienced eyes most likely will not be able to know the difference between them and the genuine article!
