Drink more water. Body fluids are accountable for keeping all body systems in working order. Once the body starts dehydrating due to inadequate water, you start feeling lethargic, exhausted and even get a headache. So drink plenty of water.

Eat a diverse diet. To ensure your body is defended from numerous diseases, always consume a variety of foods that contain a mix of minerals and nutriments. Eat different colored vegetables and fruits and eat a new food each month. If you have a rough time with a proper diet, you can invest in health supplements. 20 minutes daily relaxation: 20 minutes of relaxation every day helps reduce your blood pressure and minimize stress. Just sit or lie down someplace you feel comfortable and breathe in and out at a slow pace through your nose. Keep yourself active during the day by taking the stairs rather than the esculator. Instead of using the remote get up to switch the stations. Taking small actions like these may improve your fitness.

Get enough sleep: As lack of sleep leads to changes in hormone levels and slows the body metabolism, ensure that you get at least 8 hours of sleep every day. Men and women who get the right amount of sleep experience better health because of increased cell repair and growth, which will also increase metabolism and the burning of calories.
