If a person you randomly meet asks you about the definition of art, what would you have to say to him? There are two things that we obviously consider in giving our answers, first is that we draw from the works of the artist and second is the impression of the artist himself. If we are all free to question, at the end of the day, how do we define 'art'? Can anyone be an artist by choice? Do we all have an artistic side? Or are artist born or made? Questions that got a lot of people thinking. There are a lot of interpretations of art and you can also learn from them in online art schools and in art schools in general. Today we can still see art schools that offer the same kind of artistically outstanding calibration of education and with today's rise of technology; most art schools offer their courses online. Yes that is right, online art schools are being offered today and the students enrolling to an art class in an online art school are increasing in numbers.
The courses being offered in online art schools are still the same with that of normal art schools online. Online art schools include subjects such as painting (proper way of handling and painting a portrait, landscape, and still objects), sculpture (basic sculpting classes that includes tools and model), illustration (how to properly draw something out of something that is either living or not), graphic design (designing graphics with a future employer at hand), photography and illustration (a study where a student is taught to take proper photography having studied all the rules and to illustrate it beautifully); And graduating as a Fine Arts or an Arts major.
Having art as a major is not easy as it seems, you need a lot of organization and discipline when you enroll to such course. Since studying art requires you proper time management, laziness will never become an option and is ruled as unacceptable. You must take everything in extra caution and in extra effort should you wish to finish the online course you are going to pursue.
Studying online has tons of advantages but it also has disadvantages. One major advantage of a person studying online is the ease of access to all the information a person needs. If you feel like you have forgotten something you can just look it up online, thus the descriptive title of the course in general. You won't have a hard time since almost everything you need will be handed out to you in your own convenience. There is a down side though, even if it is fast in all its gathering information endeavors, having ease of access regarding inter personal relationships prove to be quite a challenge as well. Having the internet is a very splendid opportunity if you have an online course but there are times that what you are looking up online isn't what you need actually. At times we need our mentors and classmates to point us in the right direction.
Learning the arts has long been a hands on application since independence was long established in our culture, now it is going to be trifled with having computers in our midst. But let this not blind you to what virtue there truly is. At the end of the day, online art schools or not, even if we all vary in learning, what is important is that we learn.
