Somehow,a good health is tantamount to a good life. They say that nobody gets to enjoy life except the wealthy and the healthy. If you have a busy life at the office and at home, you need to boost your health by taking vitamins on a regular basis. It's not surprising when people get home from work absolutely tired and weary. This is the result of the possible heavy brain-storming debates and or physical activities at work that are consuming most of the body's energy by the time we leave the workplace. Since this is usually the case, it becomes necessary to augment our food intake with the needed vitamins.

Nobody can dispute the biological truth that vitamins are vital for maintenance, and in making sure that our body develops properly. They help our body fight sickness and are necessary for building our tissues and bones, too. The function of vitamins in assisting the metabolism of our body is rather crucial. But there are some vitamins which, although, can help preserve our health are better absorbed by the body in its natural form; a good example is vitamin K.

Even if the vitamins in their man-made forms are manufactured according to their exact chemical compositions, it would be better to go for a natural vitamin supplement. The food we eat is naturally made up of all the essential nutrients that our body needs. These vitamin supplements may be classified as synthetic nutrients.

The beta carotenes which are found in most synthetic vitamin K supplements are transformed into vitamin A once inside the body. Vitamin A is needed by our body in order to keep the eyes healthy but excessive intake of artificial vitamin A could also put our health at risk. Therefore it is still preferable to go for the multivitamins that could be obtained from our diet.

Different vitamins are available and could be prescribed by your doctor based on what supplement you must have, so that you can take better care of your body. Vitamin C supplements will help prevent oral gum disorders. Supplements such as calcium with vitamin D are prescribed to enhance calcium absorption. At the onset, nobody could obtain over the counter vitamin K tablet at a medical store, unless he could present a prescription from a certified physician. With the success of clinical trials and the advent of technology, vitamin supplements eventually became available in medical stores and sold over the counter, without the necessary doctor's prescription.

The demand for manufactured vitamins has increased tremendously in recent years, that there is now an abundance of vitamin K for the various age groups in children, and likewise for adults over 50 years of age. People are starting to increase their intake of vitamins to supplement their diet with the essential vitamins and minerals which are need for the prevention of various health disorders, from cell destruction to aging, and many more. Even if supplemental vitamins can easily be obtained from pharmacies nowadays, it is still best to consult your doctor before actually buying and digesting them. In other words, both a deficiency and an overdose of the essential vitamins will equally put your life in danger.
