American Idol is one of the most popular talent shows which is watched all around the world and anyone who has been following this show must be familiar with the name of David Archuleta. David was the runner up contestant in the seventh series of this show. If you look around for David Archuleta news, you will know that he has recently returned from the Mormon mission in Chile, where he spent almost two years.
Despite the fact that he was not in contact with anybody for these two years, yet his management released some pre recorded materials. In this way, he has been in the news as often as possible. The majority of his collections have done a decent business. People still love him and now he's back so there are chances that you all will hear from him soon.
He left a short message for his followers after returning back from Chile. He shared a homecoming message in a very short video, and in that video he looks older than before. When he left for the Mormon mission, he was just 21 years old but now, he is 23 years old and looks all grown up.
In the recent video message, he is wearing a black suit and a purple tie which goes well with it, appearing very fresh and smart. His face is glowing with his bright wide smile. It was a pleasant surprise to see his video as the fans were not expecting anything of this sort from his side especially after a two year gap.
It was back in 2012 when David decided to leave for the Mormon mission and he left in the mid of March 2012. At that time he announced that he will be going away and taking almost a two year break from his music. This news really saddened David's fans because they thought they will not be getting any new releases from their favourite singer.
He had no formal contact with any of his relatives during that time. He did leave a video message for all the fans before he leaving. In that particular video he attempted to clarify why he had taken such a choice and why its so important and close to his heart to join the mission. He said to his fans as it is an extremely individual choice and individual thing for him so he needs some privacy in this matter as well.
He requested some amount of privacy from every one. He said that he wants to do something which is totally different from the music scene and he actually succeeded in doing so.
David's family lives back in Utah and after returning from his mission, he has come back to Utah to spend some peaceful time with his family. Since he has returned, he had been involved in the making of a documentary. Apart from that, he also have released a few more of his videos and also toured around to make aware of his presence to his beloved fans.
